What is
Ishigaki Islands

here

Ishigaki Island, the main island of the Yaeyama Islands, floats in the East China Sea and serves as the gateway to exploring nearby remote islands.
It is the third-largest island in Okinawa Prefecture, after Okinawa’s main island and Iriomote, and is blessed with a warm subtropical oceanic climate and crystal-clear waters.
Known for its exceptionally high chance of encounters with manta rays, Ishigaki attracts divers from all over the world.
Ishigaki City is the resort hub of the Yaeyama Islands—including Taketomi and Yonaguni—playing a central role in the region’s economy and tourism. As Japan’s southernmost and westernmost city, it offers the best of both worlds: a lively downtown filled with hotels, restaurants, and souvenir shops, and untouched natural landscapes just a short drive away.
